Life’s Conundrum

When we are caught up in the frame of thought in a circumstance that didn’t turn out quite right which resulted from a calculated decision may it be related to a career, or investment choice, we are then driven to search for clues hoping they could provide reasonable explanation to douse the dissatisfaction on the unsettling sense of failure. Without it, there can be no acceptance. In that state of mind, we are drawn to recollect the principle we lived by and relied on which has served us well in most part of our lives would now seem to be slipping through our fingers. Faith as we know it by which we are accustom is now shakened. It is a common phase in life that most people face, and it can be daunting. A friend once made a remark, “Sometimes I am wandering what am I doing. I am already 76…”. That struck a chord with me.

Like everything else in our journey of life we do our best to accomplish our goals. It’s a tale which has two distinct parts that can overwhelm the quality state of mind. The first is the process, and the other the outcome. Most people are quick to cease the thought of the outcome presumably where the BIG MONEY is. Which ever part we choose to exploit will develop the state of mind that adjust the boundary of our conscience. Ultimately, our psyche may sit side by side with wisdom, or separated from it.

Interpreting on the outcome without sensible investment on effort in the process is banal, and self-defeating. In contrast, putting our focus more on the process will create opportunities no matter how the outcome unfolds. This practice harnesses experience which will take us to a state of realisation made only possible when the awareness expands, liking to people with greater foresight.

A businessman with a running business constantly foresee a huge return in the coming years but neglected his focus on the current and future costs which needed to bring his operation to the next level in order to achieve that goal. No different to a child needing sustenance to grow before he/she could embark in the great journey of adulthood.

There is no creativity in over interpreting outcome. It’s a habit which is only drawn to a fabricated fantasy where it lacks constructive, and purposeful action. Without feedback from experiences, it’s a road to a dead end. However, emphasizing on the process will not only create opportunity, but fulfilment and continuity even when we are long gone as our useful knowledge and experience are passed on. An approach with content which is palpable and compatible to a sustainable reality. Invest our efforts on the need of the present which is within our capacity to manage, but leave the outcome to providence. Our objective could still be met though it didn’t turn out exactly as planned.
Here, we’ve come full circle where we regained confidence in our faith, but this time in the spirit of God in humanity. The emphasis here is not the strictly on the subject of God, moreover the spirit which relates to the process or consciousness on the move. Even at this moment, creation in synchrony with your existence and mine is still running. Creation culminates an incomprehensible process with infinite variable synchronising and correlating a pattern to form life with all its complexities. The spirit of God is when consciousness in motion relates to the presence of our existence which goes beyond the concept of God that you and I imagined stemmed from an up bringing with a certain preconditioned belief. This is the motto that we should all lived by, a presence that is never lost, by act of altruism where life evolves and reinventing itself in continuity.

There is no certainty in life, and I can safely say God never provided that guarantee, a place where I believe distills an ethos of a religious makeup to represent the mystery where hope of mankind finds comfort. I hope what is shared here has not strayed too far from the context, and purpose which is originally intended. It’s a subject which can easily crosses over to other related topics. Regardless of religious milieu or doctrines you’ve embraced, it is my hope from the start that something positive and useful can be taken from this where we no longer wander, but act with meaning and purpose in compatibility to a sustainable and peaceful existence.
